Acorn and Oak was founded in 2021 by Cornelia, a professional organizer and decluttering coach based in Atlanta. Ever since she can remember, she’s had a natural inclination toward tidying and organizing. As a child, she would often entertain herself by sorting everything in her mom’s purse during long car rides, finding cabinets to organize, or going through all the family mail. She finds it incredibly rewarding to witness the sense of peace that comes when every item in a home has a designated spot, or when someone gets to throw away a completed to-do list, and is honored that so many people have trusted her to come into their spaces and support them through these processes. In her spare time you might find her gardening, foraging, writing, or seeking out the nearest river for a swim.

Cornelia stands in front of a closet, holding two bags stuffed with clothing to be donated.

Kara is a midwesterner, eldest daughter, and Virgo by birth, and she fits all those molds with a little room to spare! After moving to Atlanta in 2017 for an internship at the Center for Puppetry Arts, she found her footing in the film industry, keeping all the plates in the Art Department spinning. Between gigs, she would find herself reorganizing her own closets and would joke that her career plan B was being a "professional organizer." When she met Cornelia and found out one of her favorite hobbies was a real job, she knew she had found her calling! She's thrilled to be a part of Acorn & Oak. When she's not there, you can find her slinging nostalgia-inspired Beanie Baby creations at local craft fairs.
